Trying to be good

Its hard trying to stick to this compact- I've already broken the rules and bought hardware - how does one find curtain rods second hand that will fit exactly into the space required? Also, I'm throwing a housewarming party on Sunday. So there is some pressure to get the place looking tidy, and it takes time to find things on freecycle, secondhand stores and to beg, borrow and steal from friends.

To top everything off, I have a case of the lurgies. Came down with a bug on Monday night. Still can't shake it. Decided against making all the food myself for Sunday. Went to StrudelBaron and ordered quiches and other suitable fingerfoods. One cannot be a superwoman everyday!

However, I have to say I am really pleased. I have enough plates and forks. I don't need to buy plastic throwaway plates and plastic forks. I put out a request for glasses. Freecyclers came to the rescue, lending and giving away champagne flutes and wine glasses from left, right and centre. Hence eradicating the need to buy plastic ones. Yay!
